so very much to love about this little city nestled in a portion of the blue ridge mountains. (i felt instantly at home being surrounded by these beautiful hills.)   spent less than 24 hours there this week and am entirely smitten.  here’s a little gallery which includes many images of the (currently being) revitalized river arts district – truly an inspiration for many other cities and towns across this country facing issues of abandoned factory buildings and rent issues for artists.
