ferry beach / prouts neck, maine

so today, i decided to see if i could stealthily wind my way up to the new winslow homer studio (satellite site for the portland museum of art) the back way…as the studio tickets are completely sold out until spring. this involved parking at ferry beach and walking around the small peninsula there – ending up on prout’s neck, where there is no viable parking. my plan was to then walk around the neck until i made my way to homer’s studio on the opposite side. however, i found on this unusually warm october day that i could walk on the beach barefoot… and i had the entire beach to myself. just me. it was beyond dreamy and i never made it all the way to prout’s neck. plenty of time for that in spring – along with another round of photos.
