in my mind, this is the most famous recording studio in the country.  it was the home of elvis’ music for a short while (about eighteen months) but more importantly, the label of musicians like johnny cash and carl perkins plus a number of mid-century blues players.  many others have walked through the doors as well… bob dylan and U2 to name a couple.  the studio tour was great and loved the tour guides. while waiting downstairs in the lobby/cafe, we were chatting and they were showing me some ‘crazy mail’ – as they call it- which they receive daily.  that day’s delivery had just shown up and they explained to me that the studio gets letters from folks claiming to be elvis or the likes, song lyrics, etc. on a daily basis.  makes for interesting reading-
