millennium park – chicago
Posted on 7.3.2012
took in a free concert while visiting with old and new friends last night at millennium park in chicago. this park features, among many things, a gorgeous and unique stage designed by architect Frank Gehry (millenium park history) – and a set of fountain towers collectively called ‘crown fountain’. these towers were designed as a single piece by spanish artist jaume plensa (crown fountain at millennium park). they both disseminate water and light up with faces of chicagoans. it’s a fantastic combination of elements after dark… my daughter was duly impressed and proceeded to soak herself silly, play with the many other kids running around and have an all around excellent time.
